The second concert in our series presents PATRIOT BRASS, Thursday evening, July 18th. An old-fashioned band concert honoring the 10th Mt Division, Veterans, and celebrating Cranmore’s 75th begins at 7:00 PM.
The Patriot Brass Ensemble is the first and only professional brass group dedicated to serving Veterans and Military Families. In 2004 the group first performed in a community in New Jersey, after local resident and founder Steven Behnke was unhappy with the music at the town’s Memorial Day Ceremony. He spoke to the town and secured funding to construct a new ensemble, and the effect the music had far surpassed all expectations. “We had Veterans walking up to us telling us this was the best ceremony they had ever been to. That feeling was amazing”, says Steven. Little did he know, this would become his life’s work. The Patriot Brass has planned a good old-fashioned band concert featuring their 14-piece brass band with lots of favorites especially for this evening – a treat for the ears and feet!
Come in time for the early concert at 6 PM. Bring a picnic supper, spread your blanket or set up your lawn chairsand enjoy some of the valley’s local musicians enriching lives through music! A great evening of family fun and live, world-class entertainment at an affordable price. Come enjoy great music in nature’s wonderful outdoor setting at Cranmore Mountain – plenty of convenient parking, handicap accessible, and minutes from North Conway village.
