Tuesday Trekkers Snowshoe Social Trek. A social trek for snowshoers to explore the forest with an expert guide. Experience many wondrous winter things along the way. $18 per person includes a day pass or $10 for annual members. Annual members may sign up for the season for only $45. Questions about programs? Ski with a naturalist. In conjunction with the Appalachian Mountain Club, Great Glen Trails offers you the chance to really get to know Pinkham Notch. When you ski with a naturalist, you will learn about the flora and fauna that make our corner of the world so special. You’ll scout for tracks in the snow. You’ll learn about the different trees in the Glen. You’ll listen for distinct bird calls. You’ll truly begin to understand how the ecosystem works in Pinkham Notch.

Great Penguin Race at Cranmore!! Purchase a rubber penguin for $5 and race it down the slope, where all proceeds benefit the Mount Washington Valley Children’s Museum. You can purchase your penguin ahead of time at the MWV Children’s Museum, The Settler’s Green Tubing Event on Saturday December 1st , Cranmore Mountain, or at event registration the day of the event. As a seperate Artistic Judging Catagory this year, we will be letting contestants Modifiy their individual Penguins. Because of all the hard work and effort that will be put into these Masterpieces, we decided to just Display these works of art and not let them get damaged on the race course.

Cranapalooza at Cranmore! After a day of skiing and riding with the family, extend the fun at Cranapalooza! We celebrate winter with face painting, s’mores roasting, fun and games! This Cranapalooza has a Pirate theme with Bobo The Clown and Scott Baer providing entertainment.A celebration of winter, skiing, fun, friends and family! Join us this afternoon for a day full of fun and entertainment at Cranapalooza at Cranmore.

The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge will be held On Saturday January 5th 2012 at Cranmore.The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge is a fun and free event for all ages and abilities. There will be prizes, raffles and lots of Mountain Dew to sample.The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge or MDVC began over 20 years ago as free casual ski & snowboard races. Skiers and snowboarders are divided into groups by gender and age and compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals. There are plenty of prizes given away throughout the day.Registration for the MDVC begins at 8:00am, races commence at 11:00am, and awards will be given around 2:30pm. T-shirts will be given out to participants (while supplies last) so don’t be late!

MWV Skating Club’s Free Skating and Open House! From 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, MWV Skating Club and the Ham Ice Arena are offering a FREE hour of skating at MWV Skating Club’s Open House. Bring your family and friends and enjoy free skating, mini-lessons and giveaways. Information on the many programs offered by the MWV Skating Club will be available. hamarena.com

Moonlit Snowshoe Tour. Experience the wonder of a winter walk on the moonlit snow. Join an AMC Naturalist Guide on a guided full moon snowshoe walk. We will use our senses (and no flashlights) to navigate the trails. We will listen for owls calling and explore out senses as we explore the winter landscape by light of the full moon.  www.greatglentrails.com

Attitash Freeride Series: Rail Jam. A 1-hour jib contest featuring rails and boxes with prizes for best overall skier and rider. Book your stay at The Seasons Resort and enter to show everyone what you got!!!!
