The Mount Washington Valley is the premier vacation destination spot for golfers, adventurers and family vacationers.  For golfers of all abilities, ages, handicaps, singles, twosomes, and foursomes alike, the valley offers 10 premier courses, featured in the Mt. Washington Valley as The Road to the Links.   Come and play these courses mid-week during the tender green days of spring and again in autumn when the mountains explode with color.

Nestled in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire, the Androscoggin Valley Country Club an 18-hole par 70 course, designed by Alex Chisolm and built in 1922.  Playing this course will provide a stimulating but rewarding scenic day on the links.  The lush green fairways are a calming and challenging locale for even the most experienced of golfers.  The surrounding beauty of nature and crisp clean mountain air will help you to clear your muddled mind and focus on your swing.

Within an hours’ drive from the Seasons Resort, you’ll find the challenging yet friendly Bridgton Highlands an 18-hole par 72 course. The original course began in 1926 and was designed by A.W. Tillinghast, then in 1980 Cornish & Silva designed 2 new holes to replace existing ones. In 1992 the new owner, Fred Ryan designed additional holes to intertwine with the existing holes, expanding the course to the current 18-hole layout.  With views of The White Mountain Range in New Hampshire and Pleasant Mountain in Maine, this course is fun and challenging for all ages, and family friendly.  Be sure to ask the staff for tips and tricks to improve your game.

The historic 9-hole USGA par 32 course, at the Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club  is located in beautiful Jackson, New Hampshire. Converted from pasture land in the 1920’s, the course will both challenge and entice you to up your game.

As touted in Golf Magazine, Hale’s Location is an exceptional course well known for its putting green, long fairways, water hazards and bunkers. This 9-hole par 36 course completes the unique golf experience for the young and the old of all abilities.  Designed by Albert Zikorus in 1984, it’s tucked amongst the White Mountain National Forest at the base of Whitehorse Ledge.

Located in Ossipee, part of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire you will find the Indian Mound Golf Course. The 18-hole par 70 course has a player friendly front 9.  While the progressive terrain of the back 9 runs along the Lovell River it presents more of a challenge to even the most polished of golfers.  Phil Wogan designed the original in course in 1968, with updates that followed in 1972.

Enjoy a meandering drive while taking in scenic vistas, thrilling waterfalls and historic landmarks along Route 302 West to Whitefield, New Hampshire.  The Mountain View Grand Golf Club  is an18-hole course designed by Phil Wogan ASCGA and George Sargent ASCGA, appealing to the sophisticated golfer who’s steeped in tradition.

For a truly sublime experience try the North Conway Country Club, a championship 18-hole course that’s immaculately manicured and located in North Conway Village. Established in 1895 from pastoral farmlands along the Saco River, highlighting inspirational views of Mount Washington and the Moat Mountain Ranges, this course offers separate areas for chipping, putting and bunker practice.

Multiple challenges await you on two courses at the Omni Mount Washington Golf Club .  Play the 9-hole par 35 Mt. Pleasant Course, or the 18-hole par 72 Mount Washington Course, which was originally designed by Donald Ross in 1915 and lovingly restored by Brian Silva in 2007 from Ross’s original plans.  Duffers, Dew Sweepers and Juniors will encounter amazing views of the Presidential Mountain Range, Ammonoosuc River and the historic Omni Mount Washington Hotel.

Just a chip shot over the state line from Effingham, New Hampshire, you will find the Province Lake Country Club, a USGA standard 18-hole course in Parsonsfield, Maine.  Offering stunning lake views and opportunities to see wildlife in its natural habitat, this course is a delightful blend of times gone by and modern contemporary, testing all levels and skills.

In nearby Jackson Village, while playing this 18-hole course at the Wentworth Golf Club , you can improve your game.  Fulfill your golf adventure and advance your golf swing as you stroll over the verdant greens, designed by Marshall C. Wentworth and R. Wayne Stiles and pass through the covered bridge, all while listening to the calming waters of the Ellis and Wildcat Rivers.
